Miscellaneous Tools

  • brayer** - for securing your material to the cutting mat (this is soooo important and a lot of people skip this step) call me basic but I actually quite like the feel of the cricut one

  • weeding tools**: - i've used dozens of different tools, these are my absolute favorite (PRO TIP: wait until michaels has a good coupon, i bought a few sets when they were 40% off)

  • weeding pin pen - helps with intricate details

  • sticky lint roller** - I use this to collect my scraps as I weed I plop them down on the roller and it eliminates mess, plus it helps remove the vinyl from my tool easily

  • application spray - for applying vinyl using the wet method

  • scraper - for transferring vinyl (some people prefer the ones with felt siding)

find more helpful tools in the General Craft Tools section

Transfer Tape

  • vvivid** - has alignment grids but no branding

  • frisco craft** - free of grids or branding

  • oratape** - has grids and branding

  • duck shelf liner - inexpensive and efficient. Lots of people have success with the shelf liner from the dollar tree but I did not (nor did the con-TAC brand you can get at target work) but this one works well.

Adhesive Vinyl

  • teckwrap - the only off brand that sells smart vinyl sized rolls (if you are in to that, its too wasteful for us)

  • oracal 651** - the gold standard of permanent vinyl

  • orajet 1917**  - printable permanent vinyl (should still be laminated)

  • vvivid**  - a good alternative to oracal

  • StarCraft - very popular amongst crafters
